Part 3: My Favorite Beaches around the US

Three States where my favorite beaches are located…only THREE! Can you guess where they would be?!

State #3: HAWAII

My favorite, I don’t know if it’s the fact that you are on a secluded island or what.. but it can’t get any more peaceful than a beach in Hawaii.

Here is my take on my favorite beaches in the state of Hawaii. (:

Waikiki Beach, O’ahu Island, Hawaii

  • Family & kid friendly! (: This is THE beach all the tourists make sure to visit! It does make it quite simple when most of the resorts are located directed on Waikiki.

  • Perfect beach for snorkeling and swimming. As you go around the islands, some of the beaches aren’t swim friendly and are strictly used for pro surfers due to the wakes and depth.

  • The water was a little chilly, but it was also mid march. The resort concierge did say the water gets to a nice warm temperature during the hot hot summers!

  • If you look all the way in the distance in the first picture below you will see the mountain Diamond Head. My sister & I spent almost an entire day making our way to the top, and it was so worth the views.

Ke lki Beach, O’ahu Island, Hawaii

  • A little over an hour drive from downtown Honolulu you’ll approach Ke lki Beach!

  • Located on the Waimea Bay and the Benzai pipeline which are homes to some of the largest and most surfable waves.

  • Cute little beach town with local bars, restaurants, and shops!

  • We stayed around and watched the surfers for some time, I was completely astonished as to the amount of strength and talent it takes to “ride” those deep waves!

  • In the picture below, you will see a chicken… we weren’t entirely sure why there were chickens on this beach. Not only were they roaming around, but they were quite friendly!

  • Highly recommend taking the longer route on your way to/from so you can drive the beautiful coastline!

Now I have yet to visit the other islands but I am pretty certain that a few of you have probably been all around! With that being said, please send me your recommendations as to where your favorite beach is in Hawaii!

Hope you enjoyed my facts and information as well as the pictures! Talk to you on the next blog.

Tata for now, XOXO Tay
