Top Sights; Lima, Peru

Peru on your list of places to visit? Well if so, here some of the best sights (in my opinion,) to see in the beautiful city of Lima.

  1. Museo Larco

  • If you are an avid flower/plant lover make this your first sight to see, my friend Lauren & I are OBSESSED with plants & flowers, so we were definitely in our element!

  • Museo Larco was a mansion, but has now been turned into a museum.

  • The museum features pre-Columbian artifacts that go back 5,000 years.

  • There is a restaurant located on property.

  • A mask is required to enter.

  • Museum store located on sight.

2. Plaza Mayor

  • The “birthplace” or core of the city.

  • The square is where Spanish Conqueror named Francisco Pizarro founded Lima back in 1535.

  • Within the Plaza there are several different key cities which include; The Lima Cathedral, Municipal Palace of Lima, the Archbishop’s Palace and a few different LIMA signs.

  • The oldest public place in Lima.

  • Admission is free.

  • Mask is required within square limits.

  • Nice restaurants w/ patios all around the area!

3. 27 Tapas

  • Voted #1 rooftop bar in Lima.

  • Reservations required.

  • Known for their “27 tapas” aka appetizers.

  • Overlooks the Pacific Ocean and downtown.

  • Go during sunset!

  • Inside the Hilton Hotel.

  • If you are a guest at the hotel, the infinity pool is yours to use.

  • Perfect for a special occasion or date night.

  • Try an espresso martini, personally my fav! (:

4. Parque de Amor

  • Known as the “love park” of Lima.

  • Of all the parks along the coast, Parque de Amor is by far the most famous.

  • Giant embracing couple statue (seen in 3rd picture) by far more romantic than expecting.

  • Colorful mosaic walls, flowerbeds, and food stands.

  • Free entry.

  • Perfect for sunset!

  • The beautiful view of the coastline and downtown Lima.

There we go, short & sweet.

Now of course, there is so much to do in Lima. However, I always like to share with you what I believe you definitely should plan while writing out your itinerary!

Talk soon! Tata for now, XOXO Tay
