Milan to Genova
Ever seen an Italian Coastline? If you are ever staying in Milan City Centre, for about a two hour bus ride and 25 euros, you’ll be in Genova before you know it.
Our time in Genova in a nutshell:
Bus departed Milan City Centre at 10 am, arrived in Genova around 11:50 am.
Walked around and saw some of the most famous history spots which included; Spianata Castelletto, Via Garibaldi, & Piazza Corvetto.
Then took a Taxi to the beach (Uber’s are not available unfortunately.)
Spent a few hours on the beach of Punta Vagno. Note: the beach is all rocks, no sand, meaning BRING SANDALS.
Had a local lunch at a nearby hotel, located right on the water, and met a lot of fun locals (and their dogs, hehe.)
By that time, it was time we headed to the train station to make our way back to Milan.
We took ItaliaRail which took an extra hour , but on the plus side the countryside of Italy was phenomenal!
Few Fun Facts about Genova:
It is Genova in Italian, Genoa in English.
Genova is Italy’s leading port.
Pesto Sauce was born in Genoa (original name Pesto Alla Genovese.)
Blue Jeans were invented in Genova!
Keep In Mind:
Very FEW shops/restaurants are open due to COVID.
If you do not have a vaccine card (or green pass in Italy,) you can not dine inside.
They are strict on face masks, so make sure you bring extra.
Have Euros, as stated earlier there are no Uber’s, meaning Taxi’s are the only option.
