24 HRS in London, England
1 whole day in London you say? YES.
The best way to utilize the short amount of time you may have in London is by making a list of the top sights you are interested in. My dad’s list included the Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the London Eye. All very good choices! A few years ago when I was in London, I spent 4 days touring the city… some of my favorites included the Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. If you do your research you’ll have a quick idea of what you want to be on your list! (:

3 SIGHTS :
Tower Bridge
Not the London Bridge.. most tourists come to London looking for the London Bridge when they are actually looking for the Tower Bridge!
Took 8 years to build, opened in June of 1894
Free to walk across, but will need to buy a ticket for the towers
Bridge was painted blue, white & red in preparation for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee
Over 50 designs were submitted for the bridge
500,000 plus visit each year
Buy tickets for the towers on >>> https://www.towerbridge.org.uk/tickets
Big Ben
Located in the Palace of Westminster
Nickname for the Great Bell of the Great Clock of Westminster… confusing right? Lol
315 meters or 1,034 feet tall
The bell itself weighs 15.1 tons & is known for its consistent accuracy
Only UK residents are allowed to tour Big Ben
London Eye
Also known as the Millennium Wheel
World’s largest observation wheel, however not the tallest
36 euros per adult ticket, buying tickets online is cheaper (32.50 euros)
Best time to view from the London Eye is on a clear day (seems obvious I know)
Located on the River Thames

Dinner
St Stephen’s Tavern
Right across the street from Big Ben
Known for its fish & chips, one of the oldest bars in London, has a very English feel, love it!
