Tay’s 5 Step Greek Gyro

Do you ever have the drive to go to the store, pick out random ingredients and come up with a dish? Well this is how I came up with this super simple and easy Gyro Recipe. I kid you not it takes 20 minutes max to prepare.

Perfect for a date night, family dinner, or meal prepping. And on the bright side… I am pretty sure my mom is addicted to these now, so that must mean they are somewhat decent… right?! (:


Tay’s 5 Step Greek Gyro

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes

  • Cook Time: 5 minutes

  • Total Time: 20 minutes

    • Course: Main Dish

    • Servings: 3-4


Ingredients:

  • Trader Joe’s Seasoned Beef & Lamb Gyro Slices

  • Feta Cheese

  • Trader Joe’s Pita Bread

  • 2 cucumbers

  • 1 red onion

  • Trader Joe’s Avocado Tzatziki Dip


Instructions:

  1. Chop onion and cucumber to your liking. Place in bowl for topping later.

  2. Lay out Gyro slices on a microwave safe plate or a cookie sheet and follow directions on package, (it took me a minute and a half in microwave.)

  3. Heat up pita bread for about 20-25 seconds in microwave till the bread is warm and soft.

  4. Place gyro slices (3-4) on pita bread.

  5. Add your toppings; cucumbers and onions, tzatziki dip and top with feta cheese to garnish.

  6. Serve & Enjoy.
